Pixelrights > Dashboard > Homepage
You have various options, such as, a single image, an album or no images to display on your homepage.
You can also customise a slideshow or the layout of your images.
How to Customise your Homepage
Your Homepage is the first page your visitors will see on your website.
Depending on your plan you can fully customise and edit your homepage, or decide to switch it off, in which case your Gallery page will become the first page visitors will see.
To switch off a page, simply click the switch in the upper left hand corner of your page editor.
An example of a portfolio with the homepage switched off would be our Dave Bowman design.
Layout
When you enter your Homepage editor, you can first choose from several Layout styles.
Full bleed image
Sets a single image or images to the edge of your homepage background.
Strip
Places an opaque overlay strip behind your Homepage title, which can be useful depending on how noisy your background image can be. (See our design Maude Lebowski for an example of this homepage.)
Enter button
Places a rectangular “enter” button beneath your homepage title.
No-Crop photo
Resizes the background image so that you see the full true view of your photograph.
No-Crop with border
Resizes the background image so that you see the full true view of your photograph, with a padded border around the image.
Title
Use your title to display your name or company name on your Homepage.
Its size, opacity and letter spacing can be adjusted by using the sliders or entering the values.
Your work will be saved once you press the Done button.
Background:
You can choose a single or a set of images to display in your background, with multi-use Slideshow slider, to adjust the speed of change between your photos and the Blend slider to adjust the background image opacity.
By clicking on the box to the left a drop down menu will appear with a list of your albums. The slideshow will use images from whatever album you choose. If you would not like a background image, you can turn this feature off by flipping the switch on the left.
